A sex offender search in Rhode Island can be performed on the website of the Parole Board & Sex Offender Community Notification Unit. All individuals mentioned on their site have committed offences on or after the date of July 7, 1996, and are “moderate risk” or “high risk” offenders. As stated in § 11-37.1-11, offender information may only be distributed to the general public when the offender is of Level 2 (moderate risk) or Level 3 (high risk) classification.
To find a specific individual on their site, you must know either the name, location of residence, or offender level of the person. It will then be possible to conduct a search by city/town, zip code, and offender level.
