Conducting an Oregon sex offender check can be done through the Oregon Sex Offender Inquiry System. Their site lists offenders who have been convicted of a Level 3 offence or who are otherwise sexually violent and dangerous individuals. All information gained from the offender search may be used solely for the protection of the reader and for any child who could potentially be at risk. Therefore, anyone who uses the website to harass or threaten any offender may be liable to criminal and civil prosecution.

Step 1 – Access the Sex Offender Inquiry System

Begin the offender search by accessing the Sex Offender Inquiry System. Once there, scroll down and click I AGREE TO THE CONDITIONS OF USE STATEMENT located below “WARNING.”

Step 2 – Search by Name

Searching for an offender by name can be accomplished by selecting New Search from the options available at the top of the page. Enter the personal information of the individual and click Query to proceed.

The results of the search are presented on the subsequent page. More information on the individual can be seen by clicking View Bulletin (More Info…).

Step 3 – Search by Location

To search by location, select the Map Offenders options available in the menu bar at the top of the page. Next, enter an address into the empty spaces and click Map This Address.

The results of the query are presented on the following page. This results show the names of each offender residing in the specified area as well as a map with markers indicating the individual’s locations. More information on the individual can be seen by selecting their name and/or map marker.
