All registered sex offenders residing in Nebraska are kept on public record in the Nevada Sex Offender Registry. This registry can be searched by anyone in order to check if a person is an offender, to search for an offender’s location, or to search an area for a list of offenders residing within a certain radius. Sex offenders are required to register themselves for periods of either 15 years (for offenses punishable by less than one year imprisonment), 25 years (for offenses punishable by more than one year imprisonment), or for life (if they committed an aggravated offense or made repeat offenses).
