An Alabama sex offender search can be conducted through the Alabama Sex Offender Registry found on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) website. A sex offender must register by providing a wealth of personal information and their criminal history. They are only placed on the website once they have been released, either on probation or at the end of their sentence. Sex offenders are required to appear in person on their birth month to verify their registration information. This appearance will occur every three months thereafter for the duration of their life.
